I am over the snow!
Sorry it has been too long again! I just have been so busy! But that isn't an excuse because I love to blog. Just not enough hours in the day you know? I hope everyone had a great start to the new year! I know I did. Andy and I started off the day joining our bank accounts! I got him Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University for Christmas and we figured before we started the classes we should work from one bank account since that is they way it will be eventually. Later we went to dinner with my sister and Calvin at Little Mexico and then back to my house to play games with them and my mom and Dave and Robin and Bryan. It was a fun way to ring in the New Year. And now it is the year Andy and I will be married!!!! I am so excited! But there is soooooo much that needs to be done first. I need to be in full wedding mode all the time! Some time since my last post we did get the flower girl dresses. They are so cute. The girls will look like princesses in them. We also met with Carla last week at the Community Life Center. We hashed out a bunch of details and got more focused on some ideas. It was very productive. And the Indianapolis Star did a big front page article on my wedding venue and how it was the up and coming place to get married!!!! I am such a trend setter :) My big goal after the new year was to work on the guest list and get the save the dates sent. I used to want to send them to early and now I think I am a little behind. We worked out the guest list and our count actually raised. OUCH! But my parents said it was ok so that's exciting. I didn't end up having to cut anyone. We finally got our save the dates ordered and just got those last night! YAAAY! So now I need to work on getting everyone's address and sending them out. A process, but then I will have all the addresses ready for showers and the wedding. Oh I also got my garter ordered. And my something blue :) Hint hint. Also, this past weekend when I took my phone and mac to the Apple store I saw some beautiful shoes at Nordstrom. When I went to pick up my stuff Monday I decided I had to try them on. And now I have my wedding shoes. They are so cute! And another thing marked off my list. Last night Andy and I started our Financial Peace University classes. I loved it. I really think we can follow it and get ourselves in a better financial situation for when we get married. We are already on our way to saving for our emergency fund. It really is common sense, it just needs to be applied. Next week we start our pre-marital classes! Let's see what else is going on. Oh we had Shelby's shower. It was fun and she got a lot of good things for her and the baby. Now we just wait for the baby. I can't wait! I hope he comes soon, but I know either way it will be here before I know it. This weekend is my best friend Jessica's birthday. We are going to dinner and then going out so that should be fun! And I don't work Monday so I am excited about that. One big wedding thing I want to crack down on is evaluating the budget so I can see what I can still do and getting the headpiece ordered. It is one of the most important pieces! We were really good at booking vendors far in advance, but because we did so most of them would say let's wait until after the new year to meet. Well now it is after the new year so we need to have all of those meetings. We are going to be busy but I am excited. It is the most important time of my life and I am so excited about all of it and plan to take it all in. Now, I am sure you are wondering what the list is on the right. It is called 101 things in 1001 days. You know I love to try new things, and one day when I was reading different blogs I came across this project called 101 things in 1001 days. So I researched it and tons of sites pulled up of people participating in this project. It is where you think of 101 things you want to complete in 1001 days. You can divide it by category, make it as simple or hard as you want. I have created my list. I might tweak a couple but I will post for sure when they are set in stone. I started January 1st and I am sad to say not much progress other than making the list. But I am working on it and excited to see what all I can get done in 3 years and how this will change my life. Well have a good week and sorry no pictures this time! I will take tons of new ones for my next post!
