Wow! I got busy with Christmas events and haven't had time to post. Sorry about that. I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas and remembered the reason for the season, Jesus. Such a wonderful and powerful holiday. Now that it is over I am a little sad. I got to see so much family in the past two weeks and now that the holidays are over and people get back on their schedules we won't see each other as much. I cherish the time we got to spend together. Let's see what have I been up to....All of our holiday plans started Saturday the 18th. We went to Andy's dads for their Christmas. It was such a good time! I am lucky I got to go. I had been sick for like a week at that point and although it seemed to be better I didn't want to be around Beverly if there was any chance I would effect her. She is in her chemotherapy routine and has surgery this Wednesday. I didn't want to jeopardize that! But After planning and getting a mask for her to wear I still got to come. I am so grateful it worked out because I really wanted to be around them for Christmas and wanted to see Beverly before her surgery. We had a good time! Andy's dad made roast and corn bread and we watched a movie. Sunday I got some more shopping and holiday planning done. Monday, we exchanged gifts at work in the Twenty First Century area. We had already had our Christmas luncheon with the agency at Bucca Di Beppos the week before. Beth, Allison, Charles and I also went to One South Monday for lunch. For a little Christmas celebration. It was delicious! One of my new favorite places for sure! Tuesday, we had Christmas at Donnas with my gma's side of the family. It was a good time! I love spending time with the girls and they always crack me up. At the end of the evening we sat around the piano singing Christmas carols while my gma played. She is soooo good! And we have Abby in the family for the vocals. It was fun and I love doing holiday/season things like that. Wednesday at work Christina and the baby came to eat lunch with me. It was so fun! I love when I get to see him. That night I went to dinner with the bridesmaids at our usual, Margaritas. We didn't discuss anything special but it was fun to get together strictly bridesmaids. I also wanted to give them a gift. We don't usually exchange gifts but I just felt like lately with things going on I am so grateful I can call them my true friends. I don't think I ever took them for granted but I realize now just how amazing they truly are. So I thought we needed some friendship necklaces. I have always been corny like that :) Thursday we had Christmas at my grandmas with my immediate family. It was a lot of fun, I love hanging out with my cousins. And if you stare really close you can see Elizabeth is starting to have a small baby bump! Friday, Christmas Eve, we did our family tradition of breakfast. We tried this new place on 135 called Flap Jacks. It was pretty good. Then, Dave, Brittany, and I went to see the new Harry Potter. I loved it!!! I decided I want them all on blue ray to watch again and again. They get so good as the series goes on. After the movie we went to the Christmas service at our church. It was truly amazing and made me remember what this season is all about. Then, Andy and I went to Christmas at his grandmas. It was a good time. There are always a lot of people there and they always have a steak dinner. The younger people did a gift card exchange. This year it was a white elephant type of thing. I loved it!After that we went back to my house to open a present. A tradition we have done as long as I can remember. Andy and I also started this year opening one, and it being pjs that we then wear on Christmas. I got Victoria Secret ones of course. They were flannel and so comfy. Saturday was Christmas! I woke up early and went to Andy's to open there. I got so many good things! I am such a lucky girl. And I finally got a pair of TOMS! YAAAY! Then we came back to my house to open. Opening is an all day event at our house. We opened for a couple hours. First were stockings then the dogs. Casper could barely stay awake to see his toys. Then my mom makes a big breakfast on her beautiful gold table she has set up. It is beautiful and the food is amazing. Then we open some more. I got so many great things. I think I was on the good list for sure. Andy and I got a couple together for our new place, which was very exciting and of course made me tear up. Then after opening we put on fashion shows (and Britt and I napped). Then we ate again and played games. It was a blast and I was in my pjs all day. My gma spent the night this year which was super fun. Sunday was the Bricker family Christmas. Another good time with some great food. AND A COLTS WIN!!! Did you guys see Peyton run!?!?!? Olivia, Sebastian, and A'Ryan (my cousins) decided to spend the night so we played some games while I got ready for the week. Oh sometime during all of this I put the deposit on our flowers! And the bridesmaid dresses are in! Britt went and got hers and they are beautiful! And this week we are meeting with Carla at our venue to go over some specifics. I need to get wedding cracking now that Christmas is over. I also am planning a baby shower for Shelby. We have a baby coming so soon! Still busy for me but I plan on getting organized and ringing in the New Year right. So many exciting things to look forward to! Hope everyone has a great week.
