It is HOT outside. All I seem to be wearing are dresses to keep cool. Which is ok because I love dresses. I have gotten so many wedding things done in the last week! I am so proud! lol Last Wednesday before spinning I had my first cake consultation with Cakes by Cathy. I loved it and had so much fun! The cake was wonderful and the picture she drew was exactly what I was imagining in my head. I loved it but I didn't want to decide after just one appointment. Friday I had another cake consultation at A Piece of Cake, which is a bakery I love. I have ordered from there many times. So yummy! It was a fun appointment too, but I didn't seem to be as excited about that place as much even though they do great work! Just didn't seem to be the style I wanted for my wedding. I started thinking about how Cakes by Cathy was booking up so fast and decided to do some research on the other places i had appointments with. After checking out reviews and prices, and Andy of course, I decided to cancel my other two appointments. I called Cathy and got together the contract and deposit so I could book her right away. I am so happy with my decision. I loved Cathy's designs and the flavors and I am just so excited to have my cake baker :) YAAAAAY! Saturday Andy and I had our engagement photos. it was a BLAST! We looked hot lol! We Incorporated our colors and went up to the Indianapolis Museum of Art to meet Michael and his wife Mary (Krystan's parents and my wonderful photographer!) to do the shoot. He took so much time with us and got so many shots. He had researched and planned out so many things and he was very open to any ideas we had. It made me so happy to know he is my photographer. I think he will do and so far has done a FANTASTIC job and I can't wait to see my pictures. If you ever need family pics or anything let me know, his prices are phenomenal! We were tired after the shoot (it was hot and a little too much making out lol) so we ate a late dinner with my family and then went home. Sunday was my baby Marilyn's first birthday!!! I had so much fun getting her lots of things and making it the best I could. She means the world to me and I think she deserves a special day too. Andy had bought her some bones and toys a week or so ago and of course let her have them early. So I got her a new bed, summer dress, bones, rope and toy. AND most importantly, membership to a dog park. I was so excited about that! We have been twice so far and she seems to love it, which I am very excited about! Sunday after we went to the dog park and got Marilyn her favorite ice cream, I went to a wedding shower for one of my cousins. It was a lot of fun and I always love seeing all my family. When I got back my mom invited me over for dinner. So Marilyn and I showed up and they make fun of me all the time for treating Marilyn like a person, but they did the sweetest thing! They made signs that said Happy and Birthday and attached one to Macho and one to Casper and took a picture. Then made a card that said they loved her even though she bites them. lol The got her a toy and such a beautiful dress. There is a picture of it attached to this blog. I started crying. You know me so emotional lol. Then we went outside and I had brought strawberry birthday cake. I was going to make a dog cake but ran out of time so it was store bought. But we put a cute candle in it and sang to Marilyn. Then all the doggies ate. Macho scarfed down 3 pieces before we could stop him! Casper and Marilyn just licked most of the icing off. It was such a great birthday and I am so glad everyone helped me make it great because Marilyn is so special to me! Amanda left for Florida, LUCKY! and so I have been home alone. But at least I have gotten a lot of little house things done. Monday I had aerobics. Tuesday I got into a big Hills marathon and then went to my grandmas to play cards with her Britt and Calvin. And of course Casper and Marilyn were there! Then I stayed up too late watching all the shows about the last Hills episode ever. Yesterday I just hung out at home doing laundry, cleaning and watching Pretty Little Liars. I am officially obsessed with that show. Tonight my mom and gma are going to pick me up from work and we are going to go to PF Changs for dinner then to a bridal show at The Indiana State Museum. I am very excited about that. Tomm is date night with Andy and I will probably take Marilyn to the dog park after work. Then who knows what the rest of the weekend will bring. Kind of a calm one, which I am excited about! Except I really need to design the tables and decor for the wedding and make a bridesmaid dress appointment. Next week I have a day off, it is Krystan's bday, and wedding dress looking in Cincinnati! YAAAAY Have a great weekend and try to stay cool!
