Blessed

Hello all!

Sorry it's been a week between posts.  My goal is to post a couple times a week but it's been a little hectic over here lately so I apologize.  This post is going to be a little bit of a catch up since my last post and then I promise to get to some fun things in my next couple posts.  Think makeup and oils!

First I wanted to thank everyone, from the bottom of my heart, for the amazing feedback on my last post regarding my journey.  I received comments from friends and others with similar journeys, messages from strangers, and heard that people shared my blog.  I am truly so blessed.  This is exactly what I wanted to do with this blog.  While it is more light-hearted and fun than serious, my hopes were for others to feel like they had someone they could relate to.  And a place to come and have a little break in their day where they can read my randomness and enjoy.  My journey was very sad and difficult and as much as I like to write and share, I can be private and writing that post was hard for me.  So I am very blessed because all the feedback and responses really are helping me with my journey.  So thank you all for that.

The Huths at the Walk to Remember.
This past weekend was a lot about remembrance and awareness.  Saturday, we participated in a walk/service for pregnancy and infant loss.  St. Francis puts the event on, but it's for anyone who wants to participate or who has had a loss in Indiana.  There were representatives from each hospital which was nice, and the whole event was beautifully done.  The walk part started at one of the elementary schools in Beech Grove and ended at the Sarah Bolton park.  Before it started, there were opportunities to purchase charm bracelets, shirts, flags, etc. as well as write notes to the lost loved ones.  Once the walk concluded at the park there was a service where they read the names of the lost children, released balloons and doves and had different speakers.  It was really nice and they did a great job of remembering the lost children.

The rest of the day I spent running errands and just doing things around town alone.  It was nice after the service to just have some alone time doing getting things on my to do list done and reflecting during the quiet.

My crazy little boy at Zoo Boo.
Sunday we went to Zoo Boo.  It was chilly and rainy in the morning but in the afternoon when we went it had stopped raining and wasn't too bad because it wasn't very crowded.  We went with Andy's mom, his sister and her kids.  All the kiddos had a blast together and looked adorable in their costumes.

My adorable niece Abby.
That evening at 7pm I lit 3 candles for baby Huth.  A pink, a blue and then just my favorite scent.  :)  Andy said the third one was for me and the baby because it had two wicks.  I like that.  All three of us held one while we said a prayer and again it was just good way to reflect and remember.

We also made Dave's award winning chili.  True story, award winning.  And it was delicious.  I will see if the master chili maker is OK with me releasing his recipe and I will post it. :)

It was a good weekend and has been a very busy week.  We are going to Holiday World this weekend, thanks to our good friends the Burges.  I am so excited!!! Hopefully Sunday I will catch up on some things and get some fun blog posts out.  I have my sister's baby shower to work on, which I am very excited about.  OH! and I start my new job Monday! I cannot wait!!!! Thank you again for all the support and have a great weekend!
