SEPTEMBER!! The best month :)

I know I've been a little MIA lately. Well at least on my blog. It's nuts how fast two weeks can go by. Especially when your busy.

I'm sure most of you know but Andy's step mom Beverly passes away last week. She had ovarian cancer for almost three years. She had been really sick lately and the last time we saw her she wasn't herself at all but it was still a huge shock to get that call. She passed away in her sleep. It's so sad and I feel so sad for all her family left behind but I am glad she's done suffering. And she's probably shopping with my grandma in Heaven!

So even though we were off, last week flew by in a whirlwind because of all that was going on. I wish I would've gotten a little more done being home but it was really nice to catch up on sleep and relax when we could.

In my last couple posts I mentioned my new coupon obsession. I am still getting the hang of it and haven't really done another haul since the first but I have a big one planned for this weekend.  I wanted to share the info from my first coupon trip.

I went to two different stores; Walmart and Target. I got all of the above for $4.56. Not too shabby and I started a little stock pile of things. Some people might say well did you need all that stuff. Well maybe not right now but the biggest lesson with couponing, that I am still working on, is to shop based on the sales, not off a grocery list. I really enjoy the thrill of getting free stuff and am a little obsessed with the coupon blogs. My binder is already full. I need more sheets for coupons! I will post some more on my binder soon and more tips as I get more experienced.

Two weekends ago was another family fun weekend. We kicked off the weekend on Thursday with wine and canvas. My mom took me for my birthday and  we went with Robin to Mallow Run. It was so much fun and a lot harder than it looks. I think the wine definitely helps :)

Let me know if you want me to paint you anything. I'm like a professional now.

On Saturday we had my cousin Lauren's birthday. She was one of the flower girls in my wedding and I can't believe how much she has changed since then. Of course she was most excited about Jacksy coming to her party, but I got her to take a quick pic with me.

Look at that hair!! I love it!

We also had Judy, DJ, and my mom over. Dave was out of town. DJ played in Jackson's baby pool and Andy cooked a yummy meal of burgers and ribs. Oh and we sliced and ate some watermelon from Andy's dad's garden. It was HUGE. We're still eating watermelon.

Too cute even if he is about to squirt me :)

DJ was so sweet sitting with Jackson while he ate. Who would've known a high chair and spoons would be so much fun.

This past weekend was the start of September! Which means my birthday month and fall!!!! Fall is my favorite season and time for my favorite holiday Halloween. I need to start my fall decorating soon. I decided now that I have a kid I have an excuse to be way over the top with my decorations. I can't wait.

Jackson wore some baby under armour this this weekend and I thought it was too cute not to share.

My parents had a little Labor Day pool party. It was so much fun to spend time with family and Jackson got down I the pool water for the first time! He was in there for a long time and loved it. He started to fall asleep in the float though so we decided that was enough for one day.

I want him to be a swimmer and love the water just like me. I've been looking into starting him in baby swim classes here in the next couple of months. Please let know know if you have any suggestions or your child has taken swim lessons. I am trying to narrow it down to when and where.

I finally got the right photo size and the frame up from my bestie Jessie. She got us an engraved frame for Jackson. It has his full name and date of birth. It is such a nice keepsake and it made me cry. It was the greatest day ever. Thanks Jessie for the special gift.

I finally got Jackson's free outfit from FabKids ordered. Remember the offer that came in our August Citrus Lane box?! I think this outfit will be do cute on Jackson. I can't wait to get it.

You get the whole outfit minus the shoes. I love it. Very hipster.

Ok that's a long enough post for today. This weekend I will have Jackson's 5 month update and photos from the playroom renovation.

I leave you with a sleepy baby picture.

I wish I was cuddling with him right now!

Have a great weekend!
