Loving Life!

Hello all!

So this time I am only going to kind of apologize for lacking in my blogging life.  I apologize for not keeping this updated and because I really do love to write, I apologize for neglecting that passion.  I am not apologizing because the time I wasn't blogging has been spent bonding with my gorgeous son :)

I have been blessed to be off Since April 1st and not going back to work until June 24th, 12 weeks.  I originally was only going to be off the 6 paid weeks and then I extended it so I would only have one pay cycle without pay.  But recently I was blessed when Andy and I went through every thing financial and decided I could take the rest of the twelve weeks my work allows and that we would be able to survive!  I am so thankful for that.  Every moment spent with Jackson is so precious to me.  I don't want to miss out on a thing.  AND I fully intend to return to CNO for work June 24th, unless I can figure out some part time opportunity or what I am hoping for most is a work at home opportunity.  Please pray for me that I find something that works for me.  Even if it is having to go back to work full time for right now.

A lot has happened in this month and a half.  Jackson has changed so much.  It is so much fun growing with him and seeing how he changes.  I am so lucky to be his mom.  Also, as I am sure everyone knows, my grandma passed away.  My grandma and I were incredibly close.  Words don't even do what we had justice.  I love her so much.  Which is why as sad as I am, I am so happy she is in Heaven now.  She fought a long battle.  She lost her mom, husband, and son all within a few years and then found out she had cancer.  She fought many years of cancer.  She was in remission at times but it came back.  The most recent time caused her to be in and out of hospitals since October.  Her body needed rest and while we all miss her sooooo much she is better off.  She is in the best place ever, seeing her family again.  And now my mom is the head of the family and I know she is making my grandma so proud.  There isn't a day that goes by when I don't miss our fun times and think about her but I am very lucky to have what time I did with her.  I am extremely happy she got to meet Jackson.  That is one of the best memories I have.

Well last post I promised pictures of the nursery, so here they are.  Everyone that sees it thinks it should be in a magazine! I love it! It's my favorite room in the house.  We had a lot of help decorating and I think all that love shows in the room.

This is a cross that is on Jackson's door.  It's from the Massey's.  I love it! I think it sends the perfect message for Jackson's room.

Here's the view when entering Jackson's room.  He has a Noah's ark/sock monkey theme.  Seems weird saying that together but somehow it flows.  That Noah's ark picture above his crib has been in my mom's house for years! Now it's passed on to Jackson.

You all have seen the chalkboard TONS, but I wanted to show where it actually is in his room.

This is his nightstand/our feeding area.  As you can see with the Boppy and breast pump.  That Noah's ark picture was painted for Jackson by my cousin Ben's girlfriend Alyssa.  I love the picture!

Here's a better picture of the feeding area with the glider.  We do almost every feeding in here and love gliding together.  Great present from my parents.

This is obviously Jackson's crib.  Don't worry everything isn't in there when he sleeps.  The Giraffe mat is for tummy time.  I love the Noah's ark blanket my great Aunt Donna made for Jackson.  There is so much detail! And it is such a nice keepsake.

Here are the monkeys!!

Jackson's robes on his closet door.

Jackson's closet! There are even more clothes now! He's a little spoiled.

The changing station!  We got the changing table from my cousin Michelle and we use it every time we change him! Makes life so much easier.  On the wall is his footprint and handprint.  And on the shelf is the signed onesie from one of my showers, pictures, and the little wooden toys grandpa Bud made Jackson!

Had to show off our cute hamper and the diaper genie.  I LOVE that thing!

Jackson's dresser!  On it we have his humidifier/nightlight from Debbie, the sock monkey wind up toy we used for the gender reveal, his first balloon in the hospital from grandpa Rick, the basketball we had visitors at the hospital sign, and his pacifier jar.  I got the idea from Pinterest, A jar full of pacifiers - so cute!

And lastly his bouncer from aunt Britt.  He uses it all the time, especially when I am pumping.

So that's the nursery.  Jackson has taken over other parts of our house too.  He has his own bathroom with nemo tub, his own closet space for bathroom stuff, his own cabinet and drawer in the kitchen, in the living room his pack n play, swing, etc, a toy box made by grandpa Bud in the craft room, and his sleeper in our room.  But I thought the nursery shows off the essence of Jackson the best :) and its just so darn cute!

OH and I started doing chalkboard updates for Jackson now.  Have to continue now that he's out, so I will do them right now monthly.  Here's the first one.

He changed so much in the first month! and now he will be 2 months Saturday!  His personality has really developed.  I can't wait to track how he grows and changes!

My goal for June is to post everyday. I have a lot to say, I just need to make time for it!  Hope everyone is having a good week and lets go Pacers!
