Sorry it was longer than I said for my next blog. I got busy! This past weekend was packed full of stuff. Friday I went to dinner with Cassie, Jessie, Krystan and Kandy to our usual place, Margaritas. It was fun to catch up. Saturday when I woke up A'Ryan was over. Dave made us breakfast and I played her favorite game, crazy eights with her. Then Andy and I went to apply for his passport for the honeymoon. It was such an ordeal! But we finally got it taken care of, which is a big check off my list. I decided to bust out my Betty Crocker cookbook I got for Christmas and start working on my cooking/baking. I decided superbowl would be my first big baking event. So, Saturday Andy and I went and got all the stuff I needed to go a baking frenzy. Sunday was our Superbowl party. I made cheesecake brownies and pizza dip and peanut butter cookies for work. All from scratch! I had a lot of fun doing it too! This week I want to work on actual cooking because Andy and I can't live off of cookies forever. The game was so fun even though the Steelers lost. Personally I was still rooting for the Colts but Dave loves the Steelers and since they were actually in the game I cheered for them. I loved the half time show, even though after reading Twitter I was one of the few. I also got excited because there were a lot of movie commercials during the game and for movies I love coming out soon! Like the new Pirates, the new Transformers and the new Fast and the Furious. I cant wait. Monday I wanted to get a lot of things done like catching up on emails and shows, didn't happen. But I did format my hard drive, so that I can start transferring and organizing stuff when my sister brings home my old drive this weekend. Part of my 101 in 1001 project! I also caught up on some of my Bible reading. Then I went to bed at 10. I haven't been sleeping the greatest. Don't get me wrong I can always sleep but I wake up a lot and it's restless and I don't always feel too great when I wake up in the morning. So I decided I need to start going to bed at a set time, winding down early and making Marilyn sleep in her bed. I did this Monday night and it seemed like I felt a little better. Tuesday Shelby went into labor!!! I was so excited my nephew was coming. I left work a few minutes early and went to the hospital. We missed Financial Peace University. Two weeks in a row we haven't had class! I miss it! Can't wait for things to be back to normal next week. We were at the hospital until about 8 with the labor progressing fast but then we went home to celebrate my grandma's birthday. She turned 70 yesterday. You wouldn't be able to tell it she is a hottie and has a lot of energy and youth in her life. We got back to the hospital at 10. Demario James Cooper was born at 9:31pm. He was 9.1lbs and 20 3/4 inches. I immediately fell in love. Well, once I got to see him at 11pm. Andy jumped in and held him first and he looked so happy and was such a proud uncle. The parents are good. Shelby made labor look so easy. DJ is one lucky little boy. I already miss him and can't wait to see him again. My first nephew!! He will be a little spoiled :) I didn't get to bed until 1am so there goes my 10pm strict bed time, but he was worth it. I am very tired today. All I want to do tonight is go home and sleep and see DJ. This weekend Andy and I are taking part in a flash mob with our church. So excited because I love outreach but also it is on my 101 in 1001 days list!! I had no idea how that one was going to be fulfilled and then my church said it was the next outreach project! Can't wait! Hopefully I will get some wedding planning/ordering done, some organizing done, and some relaxing in. I have made appointments with the harpist and a headpiece designer for the next two weekends. I really think we need to work on the boys outfits soon! I am also starting to get some showers planned so that is exciting! Hope everyone has a good rest of the week!
the pictures are me with DJ, Andy with DJ, mommy and DJ and then one of Marilyn in her Steelers gear for the Superbowl.
