First, I went back to work while I lined up clients for my child care. I am so excited to get started providing child care and am working on everything for the end of the month. I went back to work to make some money and keep insurance until my first client starts. I can't wait to hang out with little ones all day and help them grow!
We received our first Citrus Lane box! Well now we have received two but I am only going to go over the first today. It is so much fun getting those surprise boxes and they are full of some neat products!
For the June box this is what was in it:
Sun Protection Hat from iPlay
This hat is so cute. I love it because its adorable and made from UV protective fabric. It's offers great protection while keeping Jackson cool and I love that it has a tie feature to help it stay on. Jackson has worn this during our outdoor adventures and looks so cute in it!
Odd Duck from Boon
This is not your average rubber ducky! It has a unique, larger shape and fun bright colors. Perfect for little ones. It's designed not to hold water, making it a great toy for the bath or outdoor water fun. We have had it in the bath but I think this weekend I need to put it in Jackson's kiddy pool with him!
Soothing Cream from Episencial
We honestly have not used this yet because we are using up some other creams we already had open. But the letter we received with our box says this is ideal for babies who need extra moisture during the summer. I can't wait to use it because it is scent free and uses minerals.
Foot Therapy Cream from Susan Brown's Baby
June's special treat for moms. This is great. Especially for new mom's who are running all over the place and maybe neglecting their personal care. Or for people who need extra care during flip flop season. It is a rich, hydrating formula with botanical moisturizers to relieve stress.
Sample Kit from Susan Brown's Baby
The samples for June were for lotion and diaper cream. Again, I haven't used these yet as I like to use up my current opened packages before moving on but I plan on trying them soon!
I really enjoyed the June summer fun box. I will post tomorrow on the July box. I can't wait to receive our August box. It's so fun being surprised and trying new products.
Since my last post Jackson had his first out of state event. A few weekends back we went to Ohio to visit my sister and to take a trip to the Columbus zoo. Not only did he get to visit aunt Britt's place for the first time, he went to the zoo for the first time. Although he slept a lot he was wide awake in the reptile section and enjoyed looking at animals. The Columbus zoo has gorillas which was really cool and a neat aquarium.
Here's a family photo from the day:
Hahaha. Just kidding. Andy was with us that day but I just thought this was a funnier picture.
I also tried Chipotle for the first time that day. Very fresh tasting and delish. My sister took us to this little "famous" ice cream shop in Columbus. It was gourmet and very yummy! We had a long day but so much fun.
Oh I also have 2 new cousins since my last post! Tracy and Dennis' son Wyatt and Justin and Elizabeth's daughter Kennedy. Both are such cuties. I love how much our family is growing and Jackson can't wait to play with them.
Ok so I have pretty much caught up. Besides Jackson's 3 and 4 month board pics.
3 months
He is getting to be such a big boy! He is full of personality and talks my ear off. I think he gets that from Andy's family ;). At his four month check up the doctor said we could start solids. I am so excited. We are starting this week with cereal. So far he mostly makes a face and spits it out. So we are going to keep trying to get him used to using the spoon and the consistency before we move on.
Hope everyone is having a great start to their week. I promise to post on our July Citrus Lane box and family photos from this weekend tomorrow.
