I started my new job and I absolutely love it! I am very busy and there all the time, but the students and my colleagues are such a breath of fresh air. I even administered the ACT test this weekend. I love being part of Indy Met and am a proud proud employee already. I hope to do big things at Indy Met. My second week at the school the boys basketball team went to, and won the 1A state basketball championship. I was so proud. They don't even have a gym. It is such a neat story and very inspiring. We had a pep rally for them at school and then this week hot 96.3 came for a championship celebration. They do such neat things for their students and I can't wait to get more involved!
After we saw EJ from Days we went to Chicago to see a bunch of Days stars on the book tour. It was a lot of fun. We saw Marlena, Bo, Hope, Daniel and Melanie. They were all gorgeous and nice. I bought the book for them to sign. Hope has a jewelry line and was selling it there so sweet Robin got me some earrings I fell in love with for me to wear on my wedding day. Then my mom got the matching necklace. It was so much fun! We are officially soap star stalkers. I hope there is another close by one soon :)
Casper got hurt bad last week. He did something when jumping from the couch and yelped so loud. He was bad enough my parents took him to the emergency room. Of course we all were hysterical (dramatic I know). We had to baby him for a couple of days, and it was so sad. He would barely move and eat. But he is much better now! Back to his love-able self.
There has been a lot of wedding stuff going on! We get married in 54 days!!!! And I can tell it is going to fly by. My headpiece came in. I have been trying to find the perfect TOMS for the reception. We have had meetings with the flower lady and other vendors to finalize details. Andy is getting the tuxes situated this week. We have worked on decorations and sent out invitations for the wedding today!!!! that was a huge thing. SO EXCITED!! I had my first shower this past weekend at Kim's house. It was a blast and we got lots of good stuff. Such a good time. i of course had to have all new dresses for every shower. My first one was a hit. The next shower is Robin and Aunt Marla's with the Hollidays and then a bridal brunch at Shelly's. So excited! Andy and I have been working on ordering all the bridal party gifts and stuff. We have gotten some really neat stuff!! Next I want to work on programs.
27 days until we get our apartment and there is so much to do and buy. We are on a strict schedule and budget, but I like it because it shows how much we are getting done. Everything is going to fly by.
So random thought, but I got my nails done. i used to hate fake nails, I think because when I couldn't keep them up and took them off my real nails were so brittle. Well I have a big girl job now, so I decided to get them done again and just keep them up. So far I am loving them!!!
DJ is doing great! Andy and I babysat him one evening and let's just say with him and Marilyn I think I will be waiting for awhile. But at least I have a cute nephew to play with until then.
We went to Justin and Elizabeth's for dinner and to see their new house. I am in love. It is beautiful. And baby Katie has a bigger closet than me. I am so happy for them and their little family and cant wait to meet Katie :)
I attended my first rally. It was for Twenty First Century Scholars protesting the bills that would drastically change the program. Made me feel good to be a part of something like that. Even though I don't work there anymore I really fell for the program and want the best for it and the families involved. I will do what ever I can to help!
Also, I am sad about Butler. But I did decide they are my new team. Everyone has a college team they love and even though i support BSU, they aren't ever in anything big and I don't want to just like what Andy likes so I picked my own team. I love Butler! and Marilyn has a crush on blue :)
Oh! Sunday I went to Brittany's honor convocation at IU. Even though we make fun of her for how boring it is, I couldn't be more proud of her. it was for students with a 3.8 or high cumulative GPA and she has been on it all 3 years so far. So proud to have a genius sister.
I think that is it for now, This week I am working on wedding stuff. Saturday is race for the cure and then Kandy's bday dinner and Sunday I am going to Fort Wayne for the big Vera Bradley sale. SO EXCITED!
Have a good week and I promise to update more!
Love reading your posts - you crack me up! So many good things going on in your life right now...you are so blessed and you deserve it all! I am so glad Casper and I made the blog post. I especially liked the line about me being a genius :)
ReplyDeleteOh and your list is a little scandalous "#62 Have an affair with Andy" pulling out the vigorous rhino side again.
