Andy and I are so excited about everything coming up and our apartment. We got our official lease date, May 7th. We are excited to get the place and start decorating and moving stuff in and just getting ready for our life together. This week we took Dave, Andy's mom, sister, Gabe, and baby DJ to see the apartment. They all really liked it! Good thing because we will need a lot of help from our families.
Last weekend my mom and I went to our harpist appointment. It went really well and we decided on some great music. Then we decided just to have a whole wedding/running errands day. We went to Broad Ripple to see where the shop was for my upcoming headpiece appointment. While up there, we decided to try this popcorn place, Just Popped In, we had heard so much about. It was fantastic! We got crazy about it. We tried the Indiana flavor, which is carmel and cheddar, and we got a bag of the strawberry. It is amazing. I highly recommend it. After that we just wanted to get some headpiece and jewelry ideas. So, we went to the north side. We went into one shop and I actually fell in love with a headpiece there and ended up ordering it. I cant wait to get it. Here's a picture:
This week I had a face to face interview with Indianapolis Metropolitan High School. I had been through an intense process for the school and was so nervous, but had been working and preparing very hard for the interview. It was a long afternoon where I met with 3 different groups of people and a group of students. It was a fun interview because I learned so much and it sounded like such a neat place. After the interview I got a tour and it is a beautiful school. Well, the next day I actually got a call saying I got the job!!!!! I am so excited. I will be a College Transition Counselor for the Indianapolis Metropolitan High School. I start March 14th. I will miss the crew I have at my current job but I can't wait and I really think I can do a lot and help make a difference at this school. I will fill you in once I get more information. We went out to eat and celebrated, about three times, my parents got me some new work clothes and my sister brought me home some beautiful flowers!!
Also this week my mom got to meet baby DJ. He is such a cutie. I can't see him enough. This weekend my brides maids and I went to pick up their dresses and then to my wedding venue for a bridal show. It was exciting to show them everything about the wedding venue. We had a blast. Cassie took a great picture of the chandelier in the tower. They also came over and saw my dress and a lot of the wedding stuff. They loved it all.
Today. my mom, gma and I went to Louisville to see James Scott, EJ, from Days of Our Lives. Once we finally got there and found him it was so fun. He is very polite, British, and incredibly hot. I love him. Now I am starting to have a collection of pictures and autographs from soap stars. I think I am going to start a scrapbook. There is another one this coming weekend in Chicago with a lot of Days stars at it. We might go!
Ok I think that's it. This week it is supposed to be warmer YAAAY. So I want to work on exercise and getting into wedding mode. We are in double digits now until the big day! I am also still working on organization and getting things ready! busy busy busy! But I like it and I am so thankful! Hope everyone has a great week and have fun watching the Oscars!
