WOW

I can not believe I have not updated for like two months. I know I am awful! It feels like these past two months have flown by and there hasn't been much of a wedding update which makes me kind of sad, but I have kept busy with other things. Less than 8 months until the big day. Can you believe how fast it has flown by? And it will go by even quicker with the holidays approaching. I just hope I am taking it all in and taking advantage of everything being engaged has to offer. I want to do everything wedding have all the clothing and all that jazz. It is a big deal! So these last 8 months I am going all out! Let's see what is new since my last post...Well I had a great birthday with my family and friends. We celebrated a whole week (like we always do) and every night consisted of some event, dinner with friends or family, going out, parties, etc. And I got so many great gifts. The biggest thing I realized at this age (because 24 is soooo old) is how blessed I am. My family is the best in the world. They are always there for me without questions and always make everything they do so special. And my friends, well I couldn't ask for better ones. 24 and we are all still there for each other no matter what. We might be going down different paths in life but we are closer than ever. I want to thank all of my friends and family for making my birthday special :) Not too long after my birthday I moved back home to save some money and spend more time with my family. It is such a weird thought to me all of the sudden that in a few short months I won't be living with them ever again. I will officially have my own home. I am nervous and excited and sentimental all at the same time about that! I am so happy to be home. And I get to be with all three dogs all the time now!! Colts season has started so of course every week the colts get our full attention for the game. We have fun making game food and having people over to watch the game. Now it is October! Well actually the end of October. I am sad because this is my FAVORITE month. I love fall and I love Halloween. Our family has had some hard times in October, and I think that is why I try so hard to make it such a great month. I made a list of things I wanted to do in October and the fall and I am moving through it nicely. The first weekend I went to Ball State for homecoming. It was so much fun. I miss that place a lot but I realized when I was there I am getting older and happy that part of my life is over. But it is always fun to visit! Last weekend Andy and I went to the apple orchard/pumpkin patch. We had a blast but got a workout and dirty! We walked through the whole patch trying to find perfect pumpkins. When we got back to my house we carved them! It was a blast! OH and last Friday we went to see my cousin Justin graduate in his new job. He is a firefighter and was recently hired at Plainfield Fire Department. Apparently once you are hired you don't just get your new job handed to you, you have to go through training and prove they chose the right person. Well they did and we went to see him get sworn in and his badge. I was so proud of him. He has worked so hard at his dream since he was young and now he is a firefighter at a wonderful fire station. His dad and grandpa are looking down grinning from ear to ear. This weekend I hope to go to a haunted house. I love them even though I hide behind Andy the whole time with my eyes shut. The zoo is having Boo Zoo. I love the zoo and Halloween so that would be fun! Andy and I are considering getting a membership to the zoo. It is cheap. Especially if you go as much as we do! Brittany is also home this weekend. I love when she is home. She is so busy at school so I am excited to spend some time with her. I got my hair done this week. It is back dark and I love it!! and she styled it and trimmed in a way that helps me with growing it out. I am in that in between stage which I hate but I don't want to cut it. At least until after the wedding. Speaking of wedding let me think about what progress has been made there...We discussed the menu with the caterer. That was very exciting. Andy's favorite part :) We also got all of our vases bought. WOOOO. Now I am working on djs. For real this time! I have it narrowed down to 4. I need to start setting up meetings with them. I also need to work on flowers. And we need to meet with Crazy Carla at the Community Life Center to hash out some details. Getting busy! What else? My gma is doing great!! The treatments are working and the doctor says she is ahead of schedule. She is such a strong woman going through this all again and with a smile on her face. But she says she is feeling a lot better. I am so happy about that! I have a prayer request. Please pray for Beverly, Andy's step mom. She was recently diagnosed with ovarian cancer and liver problems. She has a lot of treatment to go through. Please pray for her recovery and that she can find comfort in this situation. Well I think that is a good update for now. I am really working on using my time to the fullest so I hope I start accomplishing more and have more to tell you! Everyone have a fabulous October weekend!

OH! and the pictures!
