New Blog

I have always wanted to start a blog basically because I like to talk, but I always thought I didnt have anything interesting enough to keep a blog going. Recently, something has happened that has changed that. Thursday, April 1, 2010 my long time boyfriend Andy Huth asked me to marry him! It was absolutely amazing. Andy had asked me way ahead of time to take off half a day April 1st to go to the zoo, our favorite place. His reasoning was that it was our anniversary and neither of us were taking vacations. When the day came, we went to the zoo and it was crazy! I guess because it was nice out and NCAA weekend, but there were strollers everywhere. We walked around all day and as we were leaving, I turned around and Andy was on one knee asking me to marry him. He pulled out this gorgeous ring and I was grinning ear to ear. Then after the zoo he took me to Ruth Chris, where I had the best dinner of my life. Andy ordered a bottle of wine and the server asked us what we were celebrating. The food was amazing and at the end of dinner our server brought out a plate of strawberries that said congratulations in chocolate and two glasses of champagne. It was perfect. And Andy was happy because the whole Duke team was in there eating right next to us. I found out Andy had asked my parents, sister, and gma weeks ago about marrying me so they were so excited I was finally in on the secret! I got about 100 calls, text messages, and facebook notifications. It was a fabulous night. When my rents got home, we got to planning as we watched the basketball games. We made a guestlist and decided on a couple dates I can check and see are available with the venues I decide. I was so happy to get started right away. One of my friends, Nicole, had bought me a wedding planner that is AMAZING! it has everything. I think it's going to be my best friend :) It was only the first weekend, but I decided to set my wedding party from the get-go. I asked my sister Brittany to be my maid of honor by having it written on a cookie cake. She accepted. Then on Easter I asked my four other bridesmaids, Jessica, Amanda, Krystan and Shelby by making them each an Easter basket with a poem question in an egg in each basket. They all are so excited to start the planning. Now Andy needs to ask his boys! We got a lot done for one weekend!! Hope everyone had an amazing Easter celebrating this wonderful day of when Jesus rose from the dead!
